4. Place a 1-gallon or larger drain pan on table
under headstock.
5. Remove drain plug (see Figure 48) and allow
oil to drain into pan.
Follow federal, state, and local require-
ments for proper disposal of used oil.
6. Replace drain plug.
7. Add oil until sight glass is halfway full, then
replace fill plug.
8. Clean up any spilled oil to reduce slipping
hazards.

To change headstock oil:
1. Run spindle at 600 RPM for approximately 10
minutes to warm oil.
