ASSEMBLY

BATTERY

IMPORTANT!

The battery pack is not charged when it is purchased. Before using the hedge

trimmer for the first time, place the battery pack in the battery charger and charge for 24 hours.

Make sure to read all safety precautions, and follow the instructions in the Battery Charger

section. With regular use, it will need shorter charging time. If storing for a prolonged period of

time, remove the battery. When ready to use again, charge the battery pack for at least 24 hours

again. Nickel-cadmium batteries can develop a memory for usages and storage time.

To remove

(See Figure 2.)

1. Press the battery release button found at rear of battery.
2.

Grasp the trigger handle (2) firmly. Pull the battery pack out of the handle.

To install

(See Figure 2.)

NOTE:

The battery pack fits snugly into the handle to prevent accidental dislodging. It may require

a strong pull to remove.
