Assembly
1) Locate a flat, dry area with access to electrical outlet or extension cord.
IMPORTANT: Because of the size and weight of the Escalade
™
, careful thought
must be given to the setup area. Ideally, the tube should be carried into position
prior to setup. The best setup position will also make launching easy. Therefore,
locate the Escalade
™
near the water’s edge. NOTE: Dragging or sliding the Esca-
lade™
over ground either before or after inflation can cause damage. It is possible
to inflate the Escalade on the water once it contains enough air to allow it to float.
This may allow the item to be setup on a swim platform if sufficient space exists.
2) Once in the setup/ launch position, unfold the Escalade
™ tube
and locate the
Main Valve. The Main Valve is located near the bottom of the item, on the side
to the right of the main climbing wall. NOTE: to facilitate rapid take down, the
Escalade
™ 5m has 2 valves in this location. Make sure the second valve is closed
before inflation.
3) Using a high output pump, place the inflation hose with proper adaptor into the
Main Valve to inflate the Escalade
™ tube
.
Inflate to 1.2 psi (0,083 bar).
Check for
proper air pressure using a manometer. After inflation, replace Main Valve cover.
Inflation times can vary by inflator, but the Escalade
™
should be firm and tight
when completely inflated.
DO NOT OVER-FILL
. Excessively high pressure
can cause damage to the product and may void the warranty. Carefully monitor air
pressure in the product especially during hot weather.
WARNING:
Do not use an air compressor to inflate tube. Air compressors are
designed for high pressure inflation and can cause tube to burst if over-inflated.
4) Connect the 3 Interloc
™
ladders to the Escalade™, one at the bottom of each
climbing route.
5) Launch the Escalade™ so the item can be floated into position. When moving
the
Escalade
™, make sure to have at least 2 people evenly spaced around the
product to help carry it. NEVER DRAG THE ESCALADE
™
! YOU MUST LIFT AND
SET TO AVOID ANY ACCIDENTAL TEARING AND/OR ABRASION.
NOTE:
This product is designed for use
only on water of 3,66m (12 ft.) MINIMUM
depth
, and only when securely connected to a yacht of satisfactory size and
strength to stabilize the item at a point 2,5m or more above the water.
6) Once launched, float the item into position next to the yacht in the desired
spot. Position the Escalade™ with the top close to the yacht, climbing wall facing
upward. To protect your yacht, it may be a preferred to insert fenders between the
yacht and the
Escalade
™. If necessary, do so at this time.
7) The next step is to hoist the Escalade
™ into a vertical orientation using ropes,
cranes or halyards, as needed.
8) There are several attachment rings on the back of the
Escalade
™. Choose the
attachment rings that best fit your yacht. Use strong straps or ropes or dock lines
on each side of the
Escalade
™ to connect the the item securely to the yacht or
other support. Deck cleats make excellent attachment points.
NOTE: The
Escalade
™ MUST be connected to the yacht by AT LEAST four (4)
straps positioned 2 on each side. Two straps must attach in low position (between
0 and 1,5m height maximum) and two straps in a high position (between 2,5m and
5m height minimum).
IMPORTANT: Failure to connect the item securely may
result in injury or death.
