5.2.5.
Operating of the hot water electric boiler of series “ELTHERM”
in accumulating heating systems
The electric hot water boiler is directly connected to the heat accumulator tank.
The operation of the boiler is controlled by the operating thermostat and a clock
module, which controls the time period of operation of the electric boiler. The
clock-control module should switch on the boiler during night time, in order to
operate at low price tariff of the electric power supply.
The boiler will heat up the circulating water in the heat accumulator tank, the
accumulated heat energy will be used later on for heat consumption during entire
day of operation of the heating system.
In such systems the room thermostat will control the operation of the circulating
pump, which drives the hot water, accumulated in the heat accumulator tank to the
heating system, not influencing the operation of the electric hot water boiler of
series “ELTHERM”.
5.2.6.
Operating of the hot water electric boiler of series “ELTHERM”
in mixed heating systems
As the name of the system hints, this type of heating systems operates with heat
accumulator tank in parallel, as the described above. The boiler operates along with
the heat accumulating tank as source, thus allowing pick heat consumption. The
electric boiler is controlled by the operating thermostat, the heating system operates
according to the local functionality, developed by the company, which designed
and built the heating system.
5.3.
Operating parameters of the boiler.
The operating mode of the hot water electric boiler of series “ELTHERM” is
defined directly by setting its operating thermostat set-point as well as the settings
of the electric heaters, i.e. the number of the active power stages of the boiler.
However, one should consider that the inflow circulating water temperature
influences the operating mode of the system, reflecting on its reliability and
efficiency.
ATTENTION: The producer guaranties effective and reliable operation of the hot
water electric boiler of series “ELTHERM” only when the operating mode is in the
range of the parameters, described in Table 2.2 and Table 2.3 of this user manual.
