Transmission Sprockets
12. Loosen idlers (1) and remove drive chain (2).
13. Remove lynch pins from DRIVING and DRIVEN
shafts and rearrange the sprockets as necessary.
14. Reroute drive chain over sprockets and idlers as
shown.
15. Move idlers (1) into chain so chain has

inch
(6 mm) slack in its longest span. Tighten idlers and
install lynch pins.
16. Repeat step 7 through step 15 for the other contact
wheel.
17. Switch the seed monitor from Setup/Configuration
mode to Operate mode. Load seed and move the
planter to the field.
 Reading a Ground Drive Rate Chart
The rate charts are estimations of maximum seed rates. Actual
results will vary based on conditions and machine
maintenance. Maintain your machine regularly for optimum
performance.
All rate charts contain US customary and metric
units (mph and kph, inch and cm, seeds/acre and
seeds/ha, etc).
1. Find the chart for your crop.
2. If there are separate charts based on row spacing,
such as corn charts, find the charts for that spacing.
3. If there are separate charts by population range, find
the chart that covers the rate or seed spacing you
intend.
4. For crops other than corn, find the chart for your crop
and the columns for your row spacing.
5. Check what disk cell count and which disk part
numbers are covered by that chart.
6. Ezee Glide Plus seed lubricant is required. See
“ Appendix A - Seed Lubricants ” on page 106 for
more information
