4.11  ADJUSTING THE ROLLER CHAIN

(Between The Transmission And The Jackshaft)

1. Loosen the nut slightly on the bolt that fastens the 

idler sprocket to the idler sprocket bracket. 

2. Tap up on the nut to raise the idler sprocket and 

take the slack out of the chain. (A little slack is 
desirable.)

3. Tighten the nut to secure the idler sprocket.
