Chapter 4 Removing and Replacing FRUs

Button kit removal

1. Remove the front panel.

• For more information, see

"Front panel removal" on page 107

2. Remove the button kit from the T2.

(1) Lift up the button kit and pull it out from the T2, with the touch screen LCD

attached.

(2) Disconnect the ribbon cable.

NOTE: When you connect the ribbon cable to the button kit, connect it so that the

signal surface faces the back side.

(3) Remove the screw (with a spring and small washer) that secures the ground cable,

and then disconnect the LCD cable.

NOTE: When you connect the LCD cable to the touch screen LCD, connect it

paying attention to the orientation of the connector (so that its convex part faces the

front side).

(4) Disconnect the USB cable.
(5) Disconnect the power cable.
