7.1 Package Download
It is possible to update the Eyecatcher EC270 VF in the stand-alone mode when you have:
• Aardvark I²C/SPI Host Adapter.
• Power Supply (12 Vdc).
• Laptop or PC with LDKScripter 7.3 or higher.
• Download tool (3922 407 58341).
Before you can update the Eyecatcher EC270 VF in the stand-alone mode it is necessary to:
• Install LDKScripter 7.3 or higher.
• Install the USB drivers of the Aardvark I²C/SPI Host Adapter.
• Install the Aardvark Firmware update utility.
Install LDK Scripter 7.3 or higher:
• Remove the old version of LDKScripter.
• Download LDKScripter 7.3 or higher from our Knowledgebase:
http://www.grassvalley.com/support/kb
• Install LDKScripter 7.3 or higher by starting “setup.exe” and follow the instructions
on the screen.
Install the USB drivers of the Aardvark I²C/SPI Host Adapter:
• Download the USB drivers of the Aardvark I²C/SPI Host Adapter from
http://www.total phase.com/products/aardvark_i2cspi/.

• Install the USB Drivers (windows) by running the fi le “TotalPhaseUSB-v2.02”
and follow the instructions on the screen.
Install the Aardvark Firmware update utility:
• Download the Aardvark Firmware update utility from
http://www.totalphase.com/prod ucts/aardvark_i2cspi/.

• Install the Aardvark Firmware update utility by running the fi le “aafl ash-windows”.
