BLADE PENDULUM ACTION CONTROL
Besides to-and-fro movement control there is also possibility to set blade pendulum action level. It allows
for better adjustment of the tool operation parameters to type of processed material. Pendulum action is
controlled with wheel (
6
). Set the wheel for pendulum action to 0 when using knife blade. Lubrication is
recommended for metal cutting. The below table gives the best choices for pendulum action setting.

FOOTPLATE ADJUSTMENT FOR BEVEL CUTTING
Disconnect the power tool from power supply.
Lift the blade guard and loosen screws that fix the footplate (
●
5
) with the hex key.
Move the footplate to the back (
●
fig. E
).
Set the footplate to appropriate angle (use the scale).
●
Move the set footplate to the front.
●
Tighten the fixing screws.
●
Scale allows for setting the footplate to angles: 0
o
, 15
o
, 30
o
or 45
o
(right or left). Put the hex key in its place
immediately after adjustment has been made.
CUTTING
●
Lower the blade guard.
Switch on the jigsaw and wait until it reaches its top speed.
●
Press the jigsaw footplate (
●
5
) against material to be processed.
Move the jigsaw slowly along previously set cutting line.
●
Press the jigsaw very gently when making curved cuttings.
●
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PROPER JIGSAW USE
Cut at a uniform rate, pay attention to avoid overloading the power tool. Excessive pressure applied on the
blade will suppress pendulum action, it will affect cutting efficiency unfavourably. Decrease or switch off
the pendulum action completely when cutting along gently curved line.
If the jigsaw footplate does not move on the processed material, but is lifted instead, there is a dan-
ger of breaking the blade.
METAL CUTTING / TYPES OF BLADES
Use appropriate blades with more teeth for metal cutting.
For metal cutting use appropriate lubricant (e.g. oil for cutting). Metal cutting without lubrication leads to
rapid wear of blade. The below table gives the best choices for blade type:
Teeth per inch
Length
Application range
24
80 mm
Soft steel, non-ferrous metals
14
Non-ferrous metals, plastics
9
Wood, plywood:
Use only appropriate and sharp blades.
●
Do not use blades with damaged shank.
●
Use appropriate blade types.
