Mount the energizer
GA1501
upright at a grounding rod, at a wall or in an appropriate
housing or case. Protect the energizer from water.
Hit the grounding rod deeply into the ground at a humid place directly nearby your
fence. Place your
GA1501
onto the grounding rod. Connect the grounding rod with
the blue earthing cable to the ground connector of your energizer. Connect your
fence and the fence connector of your energizer using the red fencing cable. Connect
the energizer to the 12V battery in the right connection order of the battery clamps
(red clamp +, black clamp -).
Using the battery, deep-discharging protection
The energizer
GA1501
protects the battery with an in-built deep-discharging
protection. If the battery voltage sinks below 10,8V the deep-discharging protection
turns off the energizer and the green control LED blinks. Please note:

12V lead-acid-batteries must be charged approx. every 6 months, even when
they are not in use.
Power-saving and controls
The energizer
GA1501
is also fitted with an in-built power-saving circuitry: connected
to a good fence (without faults and without arc-overs) and to a good grounding the
power consumption is being reduced to a minimum. The multi-color control LED
informs you about the condition of your energizer and your battery:

green/orange
: Your 12V battery is charged well. The longer the control LED
lights orange, the higher is the consumption of battery energy. The better your
fence is isolated the fewer is the consumption of battery energy.

green/red
: Your 12V battery must be charged.
❍
green shortly blinking:
The deep-discharging protection is activated. The
energizer has turned off as the tension of the battery is too low. The battery is
now being protected against deep-discharge. Charge your battery immediately.

Not following the safety instructions and an incorrect energizer setup could

Wire of low quality is not recommended.
