Q: Does GSurf only work with Grandstream cameras?

A: Yes, GSURF is Grandstream’s free VMS software for use only with Grandstream cameras and ecoders.

Q: What are the rough prices per encoder channel?

A: Please contact one of our distribution partners to get MSRP and reseller pricing.

Q: In GSURF it always asks for administrator password?
•
A: Admin user does require a password but you can setup access without a password. Please refer to user
manual link below.

Q: What if want to view more than 36 cameras?

A: I would recommend using multiple versions of Gsurff running on multiple machines. You can also take a
look at our certified partners list and use one of those scalable NVR applications.

Q: If GSurf can record on triggers, why or when would I use GSNVR? When do we use GSurf and when is
GSNVR used?
•
A: GSurf is the monitoring tool and GSNVR is the recorder. You would need to use both of them together to
record and monitor.

Q: Has it been installed with Allworx?
•
A: To my knowledge Allworx does not currently support video. We have however deployed Grandstream IP
Phone with an Allworx PBX.
