Trouble shooting

Problem
Burners do not light using
the ignition system.
Low flame or flashback
(fire in burner tube -
a hissing or roaring noise
may be heard).
Control knob difficult
to turn.
Strong heat development /
darting flame behind the
front panel.
Possible cause:
LP gas cylinder empty.
Faulty regulator.
Piezo ignition misadjusted.
Burner or pilot gas ignition dirty.
Obstructions in burners /
gas jets or hose.
Windy conditions.
Gas valve is jammed.
Control knob overheated.
A burner is not sitting correctly.
Solution
Replace with full cylinder.
Check regulator and have it replaced
if necessary.
Reduce the distance by bendig
it gently closer to burner.
Clean burner and ignition with
a soft brush and soapy water.
Clean jets, burners and hose.
Use BBQ in a more sheltered spot.
Replace the gas valve. (May only be
replaced by a specialist company)
Carefully loosen control knob
and exchange it.
Reposition the cooled down burner,
check the valve-connection behind
the front panel.
