Switching the bilge pump on and off is done manually by using the switch located on the steering 
console and automatically by a built-in mercury-free float type switch. 

Check the operation of the bilge pump either by using the switch located on the steering console 
or by turning the test knob, located on the pump in a clockwise direction. Make sure the inlet 
channels are free from contamination (see also sections - “SAFETY”, “RISK OF FLOODING AND 
STABILITY”, “SAFETY EQUIPMENT”).
