Installation
1.
Perform
Pressure Relief Procedure
(see Road-
Lazer manual 3A1214).
2.
Install strainer with screen (1) on inlet side of dis-
placement pump (A).
3.
Install strainer as close as possible to pump inlet.
NOTE:
For RoadLazer application, install
one
paint
strainer per each pump section hose. Locate paint
sprayers between vehicle and striper at lowest point.
4.
Use clamps (4) to secure paint hose to each end of
paint strainer.
5.
Direction of flow: Material must flow in direction of
arrow (B) located on strainer.
6.
Apply liberal amounts of grease to filter bowl
threads (C) to eliminate paint adhesion.
Check and Clean
1.
Perform
Pressure Relief Procedure
(see Road-
Lazer manual 3A1214).
NOTE:
Check strainer filter screen regularly. A plugged
filter screen can cause pump starving, pump wear, and
pulsation.
2.
Check or clean filter screen:
a.
Turn ball valve (5) to OFF position.
b.
Remove filter bowl.
c.
Flush screen in water.
d.
Apply grease to filter bowl threads.
e.
Install filter screen and bowl.
f.
Open ball valve.
