Use
CAUTION!

CAUTION: Danger of burns!
The device will become very hot during use. Please make
sure that you do not come into contact with heated parts while or after using the device.
Only ever touch the handle and the buttons.
We recommend that you wear kitchen
gloves.
To place down, remove or turn the food, use grill tongs or another kitch-
en implement made from wood or plastic.

Be careful when opening the upper housing as hot air or hot steam may escape.

Ensure that there is suf

cient ventilation while the device is in operation.

The device is very hot during operation and afterwards!
When setting up the device, ensure that you select a location with enough clearance all
around the device (at least 10 cm to the sides, 60 cm above it).

Do not place food that is still wrapped in cling
fi
lm or packed in plastic bags onto the grill.
❐
Do not place any frozen food on the grill.
❐
Do not use the grill without the fat collecting tray and make sure that this does not over-
fl
ow.

The device may only be switched on when both grill plates have been attached properly.
Grill meat, poultry and other meat products (mince, burgers, etc.) until only clear
juices emerge. Fish must be cooked until the
fl
esh is completely white.
1. Make sure that the grill plates are
fi
rmly attached to the device. You can lightly oil the grill
plates before switching on the device using a paper towel. However, this is not absolutely
necessary as they have a non-stick coating.
2. Place the grill on a dry, heat-resistant,
fl
at surface a suf
fi
cient distance away from
fl
amma-
ble objects.
Make sure that the grill is not accessible to children.
3. Slide the fat collecting tray into the compartment on the back of the grill (below the fat
drainage channel (
3
)).
4. Connect the device to a properly installed and earthed 220 – 240 V socket with earthing
contacts. The socket must also be readily accessible after connection. Make sure that the
cable does not come into contact with hot surfaces during use.
5. If you want to use the device as a table grill, fold the upper housing fully open (see "Contact
Grill / Table Grill Conversion"); for use as a contact grill allow the device to heat up while
closed.
6. The upper and lower grill plate are switched on and off separately. To do this, press the re-
spective button. After the grill plate is switched on, it is heated up to 150°C. By pressing
the temperature controller, you can increase the temperature up to 220°C and reduce
it back down to 150°C. While the device is heating up, the temperature display
fl
ashes.
7. You can use the timer to set the heating time (maximum of 30 minutes). If the timer is
not set, the grill plate heats up until it is switched off by pressing the button. However,
if the buttons or are not activated for 2 hours, the device automatically switches itself
off for safety reasons.
