Cleaning and Care

PLEASE NOTE!

 

■

Before commencing the cleaning, note the safety instructions in the "Safety 
Instructions” chapter!

 

 

■

Do not use any toxic, corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or scouring sponges to 
clean the device. These can damage the surface.

1.  Dispose of the coffee grounds from the permanent 

fi

 lter (

13

) or the paper 

fi

 lter.

2. Clean the permanent 

fi

 lter, the 

fi

 lter insert (

15

) and the glass jug (

9

) after every use 

with mild detergent and warm water or in the dishwasher.

3.  Wipe down the housing with a damp cloth. If necessary, use a little mild detergent to 

remove more intense soiling.

4.  Check the mains cable regularly for any damage.

Descaling

If the water only runs very slowly through the device or the device is louder than usual 
during the brewing process, it should be descaled. Use a standard descaling agent for 
coffee machines for descaling.
1.  Fill the water tank (

) up to the 10-cup mark with a concentrate/water solution (Here 

you should note the instructions for use on the descaling agent!).

2.  Let the descaling solution take effect for a little while. 
3.  Move the dial (

4

) to the left (towards the coffee bean symbol) and press the Start / Stop 

switch (

3

) to switch on the device and allow the solution to run through. 

4.  To rinse the device, allow two tankfuls (10 cups) of clear water to run through it. The 

device is now descaled and ready to be used again. 

Troubleshooting

If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem 
yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps that are listed, contact the cus-
tomer service department.

Do not attempt to repair a defective electrical device yourself!
