8.2 Configuring the Terminal Program
In the following, we refer to the terminal program HyperTerminal®, which can be
used in Windows®. You can download HyperTerminal from the following link:
http://www.hilgraeve.com/hyperterminal/
However, you can use any other terminal program that can handle the VT52 emula
-
tion.
If you use another terminal program:
Please refer to the documentation supplied with the terminal program.
Set the values listed in Table 7 in the terminal program.
If you are using another port than COM1 and you are using HyperTerminal, then
change the port as follows:
In the
File
menu, select the
Properties
subitem (or click on the Icon
). The
following window opens:

In the
Connect via
sub item, select
Direct connection via
the corresponding port
and confirm with o.k.
.
Exit HyperTerminal. You will be prompted to save.
Save the changed values.
The port
COM1
is now set.
