put your product into operation.

Safeguard the

from moisture; observe the limits on operating and storage temperatures.

This device should only be operated at temperatures between 0° and 50° C. Do not expose the
GNS 9870
to direct sunlight or heat and do not cover it.

Do not open or modify. Failure to comply will result in the guarantee and warranty becoming void. There
are no components inside that can be serviced by the user.

to the connector types described in these instructions.

3. General product description of GNS 9870
GNS 9870
is a GPS RDS/TMC receiver with the newest 32 channel high sensitive MTK 3318 GPS Chip.
The
GNS 9870
enables the utilisation of the following:
a) Positioning signals from the worldwide freely available GPS navigation system.
b) The traffic messages from the widely available TMC (Traffic Message Channel) information system.
In combination with a suitable navigation program, the
GNS 9870
provides satellite-supported navigation.
