2.1 Input XLR-Connectors
Each channel has two symmetrical XLR-
connectors in parallel, one male and one
female. The connection is:
Pin1 ground, Pin2 hot, Pin3 cold. For
asymmetric operation use Pin 2 for hot input
and connect Pin1 and 3 to ground (shield).
2.2 Ground Lift Switch
Separates signal ground from chassis ground
to eliminate hum and buzz, when connecting
other A/C connected gear. The switch
disconnects signal-ground from the housing.
The housing is still connected to the ground
(earth) by mains power-cable. Each channel
has to be switched separately.
3.1
Speaker Out Connectors
Use the red and black binding posts for
connection to the speakers. Connect the red
one to + and the black one to – of the
speaker. Do always connect the cable at first
to the speakers and then to the poweramp.
Make sure, not to short circuit, it may occur in
a defect amplifier.
4.1 Fuses
Each channel has its own fuse. Please,
replace only 20 x 5 mm slo blow typs.
For the different amps use:
Bugatti 120: 230V/2 A/T, 115V/4A;
Bugatti 300: 230V/3,15 A/T, 115V/6,3 A/T;
Bugatti 400: 230V/4 A/T, 115V/8 A/T.
4.2 A/C Power Connection
High-end powercord with „Schuko-plug“ or
Euro-Norm power-connector.
5.1 Mono Bridged Mode
In bridged mode use the left XLR-female input
and connect the XLR-male beneath it with a
crosscable to the XLR-female input of the
other channel. At the crosscable pins 2 and 3
at the male plug are changed to 3 and 2 of
the female plug, which results in a phase
switching at the second channel. The speaker
is conncted to the red binding posts, whereas
the is at the left channels post and
the speaker – at the right channels post. Both
black binding posts have to be connected by
a 4 qmm cable.
Attention:
In bridged mode the
minimum impedance is 8 ohms!
