Examples of Mounting External Vibrators

The vibrator is mounted directly to the form wall.

Without a channel iron, the force output is

concentrated where the vibrator is attached,

causing the wall to flex and may cause stress

cracks. The vibration is not evenly distributed

resulting in a poor concrete finish.

The vibrator is mounted on a channel iron, which

acts as the transducer of the energy. The vibration

is evenly distributed along the length of the channel

iron, which results in an excellent concrete finish.

Excellent Mount

Do not weld the channel iron to horizontal

stiffeners. Cut out the channel to fit over stiffeners.

Poor Mount = Poorly Finished Concrete

Excellent Mount = Superior Finished Concrete
