TRANSPORTING YOUR CHAIR
The
GL25 and GL30
are the only models of the Glide range of commodes that are specifically designed to be transported in
a vehicle. By removing the seat, backrest, seat and footrests the commode can be folded up and placed easily into the cargo
space of vehicles
WARNING: Wheelchairs in vehicles must be safely s ecured or stored securely outside the passenger compartment.
Section 7.
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
WEEKLY
Clean frame and vinyl parts with mild soapy solution
Check function of brakes
Remove any hair or foreign matter from around castor wheel axles
MONTHLY
Give chair general inspection checking for loose nuts and bolts – tighten where necessary or contact your nearest
service agent for maintenance.
Check condition of tyres and castor wheel tread – contact your nearest service agent to replace if found to be
damaged or unserviceable
Check condition of seat for any cracks or rough edges. This could have an impact on skin integrity. Contact your
nearest Glide Rehabilitation Products agent or Glide Rehabilitation Products for replacement
Check that castors and whe els rotate freely – if found to be difficult to rotate contact your nearest Glide Rehabilitation
Products agent or Glide Rehabilitation products for service
ANNUALLY
It is advisable to have an annual inspection of your Commode Chair performed by an authori sed Glide Rehabilitation
Products Agent. Their knowledge and experience enables them to identify and correct problems that might otherwise go
undetected.
