6.7.3 Fan Power

The dc voltage used to operate the fans may be fused in three separate locations, depending
upon the type of power supply used. The three possibilities are listed below:

1.

If the Glenayre 2835 switching power supply or direct 28 volt service is used, the fan
power is fused in the dc breaker/fuse panel.

2.

If the dc to dc converter is used, the fan power is fused in the converter chassis. 

3.

If the ferroresonant power supply is used, the 28-volt dc fan power is fused at the front
of the power supply.

6.7.4 Metering Board Fuses

Primary 28-volt dc operating power is received at terminal P1 on the metering board. The
negative side of the 28 volt supply is connected to ground at the rear of the PA module. The
+28 Vdc input provides power to eight fuses on the metering board. PA metering board
fuses are listed in Table 6-3; refer to Figure 6-7 for fuse locations.
