Glazing Vision strongly recommends using mechanical lifting aids for all product movements.
Lifting  frames/eyes  are  provided  with  your  product  installation  package  however  these  will
remain the property of Glazing Vision.

When using manual handling to manoeuvre products there is also the increased risk of damage
to them. Glazing Vision will not be held responsible for this as title passes to the client upon
arrival at their address (see your supplier’s terms and conditions for more information).

Prior to starting installation, check the delivery box or order confirmation for the exact weight
of the product.

Never install any product showing signs of damage. If in doubt consult Glazing Vision for advice.

Risk of crush and/or trapping injuries. Make sure fingers and other obstructions are clear of the
product  and  its  mechanisms  at  all  times,  as  severe damage/injury  may  be  caused.  Optional
extra  proximity  sensors  (to  stop  the  product  moving  if  an  IR  beam  is  interrupted)  can  be
specified at the time of order, however they do not offer complete coverage, so care must still
be taken.

There is also overcurrent protection, predominantly for preventing damage to the product and
its mechanisms. It should never be relied upon to prevent injuries.

Do not touch the motors/mechanisms after operating the unit as they may become hot.

Do not pull on the cables where they exit the product. Doing so will mean that the cables will
be pulled too tightly and may result in damage to the product and/or create additional work
during maintenance visits.

Do not allow water to enter the product (eg. do not leave the product open in the rain). This
could damage the control board and/or mechanisms. If required, a rain sensor can be specified
at the time of order.

Do not walk or sit on the unit.

Do not place anything on,  or cause obstruction to the moving  sections of the product when
operating the unit as this may cause damage to the unit’s mechanisms and/or prevent it from
opening/closing.

Please dispose of the packaging material for this product in an environmentally friendly manner.

Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the product unless suitably qualified. You run the risk
of causing a fire, malfunction and/or personal injury.

A safe working platform must be provided for any installation/maintenance work carried out.
This includes suitable edge protection.

Any electrical work should be carried out by a qualified and competent electrician in accordance
with Glazing Vision’s wiring diagram(s).

Do  not  install  the  circuitry  in  a  damp  place  or  a  place  where  it  may  come  into  contact  with
water.

Make  sure  that  the  cables  are  not  squashed  or  damaged,  and  do  not  bend  the  cables
excessively. This constitutes a fire hazard.

Should any cables or electrical components break or become damaged, have them repaired or
replaced immediately. Deteriorated insulation of electrical parts or overloading may cause an
electric shock or fire.

Do not allow unauthorised persons (e.g. children) to operate the product as this may lead to
personal injury or damage to the product. Do not leave children or pets unsupervised near the
product – it may open/close unexpectedly (eg. due to rain sensor) and cause injury.

For more information or assistance please contact Glazing Vision.
