Navigation Command – LOGPOINT (THREE PUSHES DOWN)
Press Down three times.
12 LOGPOINTS.
Directions are given to LOGPOINT #1. Press FWD to
go to the next LOGPOINT, BACK to go to previous
LOGPOINT.
Press BACK when at the fi rst log point Records current LAT/LON in Flash memory
NOTE: GiPSi records a log point when you DEPART, defi ned as speed exceeding 30 KTS and
records an ARRIVAL when your speed goes below 30KTS. These may be retrieved via the USB
to your PC, including LAT/LON, DATE, TIME(Z), SPEED, ALTITUDE
Special Command – DME (PUSH RIGHT)
Press RIGHT in any mode
This will announce distance
on any distance deviation of
greater than 0.2 miles. KILO PAPA ALPHA OSCAR THREE POINT SIX DME
This will announce your distance in nautical miles from
the current NEAREST Airport selected. This command is
useful for keeping out of controlled airspace.
