5 Once suction is completed, remove tubing slowly from the patient.
Remove filled container by unsnapping the container (and tubing) from
the pump. Place container along with the tubing in the poly bag.
Discard disposable tubing and container appropriately.
6 If required, place a label on the container for transportation
to the laboratory.
5. Cleaning and Storage
Disinfect the pump and handle (by scrubbing with warm soapy water,
mild detergent, bleach solution etc.) before placing into storage.
The pump requires no special maintenance or storage conditions.
6. Testing for correct function
Check the handle’s condition and the pump function before returning it
to service. Mount a container, occlude the suction port by thumb and pull
or squeeze the pump handle to check for the vacuum.
This product includes a suction main body, adapter, container and each
10mm and 6mm sucker.
7. Caution
1 It is important to read the manual carefully before operate.
2 If the pump handle becomes difficult to operate, a blockage may have
occurred. Do not continue suctioning until the source of the blockage
has been determined (remove the blockage from the catheter, the adapter
or the cap).
3 If the pump is turned upside down, the overfill protection mechanism will be
engaged making it impossible to suction.
