Starting up the engine (02_07, 02_08, 02_09, 02_10)

The vehicle is fitted with an ignition disabling system controlled by the emergency cut-
off switch «

F

» and the side stand switch. The engine cannot start if the side stand is

down or if the

RUN

/

OFF

switch is set to

OFF

If the engine is running, it shuts off when

the side stand is lowered or the

RUN

/

OFF

switch is pressed when set to

OFF

. The

scooter is equipped with automatic transmission with direct drive, so that starting is
effected by turning the throttle grip to idle speed; to start-off from still, progressively
twist the throttle grip. The vehicle is equipped with an electric pump and a starter that
switch on automatically as soon as the engine is started. In order to start the engine
and before pressing the starter button «

», pull and hold the front brake lever «

D

» or

the rear brake lever «

M

» to actuate the specific start-up enabling switch

. Rest the scooter on the centre stand «

», making sure the rear wheel does not

touch the ground.

. Keep the throttle grip «

THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION MAKES THE REAR WHEEL TURN EVEN
