Installing Backup Batteries
Install two alkaline or rechargeable AA batteries (not
included) in the bottom battery compartment, matching
the polarity symbols (+ and –) marked inside. This
provides backup power so your alarm clock can maintain
the correct time during an AC power interruption.
Replacing Remote Control Battery
Remove the insulating plastic before using
the remote.
If the remote control stops
operating, or its control range
decreases, replace the battery
with a new CR2025 button cell
battery with the positive (+) side
facing up.
Battery Notes
• Keep button-cell batteries away from children. Swallowing
a button-cell battery can be fatal.
• Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly. Do not
burn or bury batteries.
• Use only fresh batteries of the required size and
recommended type. Do not mix batteries of different
types, capacities, or chemistries.
Power Your Alarm Clock Radio
Plug the barrel plug of your AC adapter into the alarm
clock radio’s jack, and plug the other end into an outlet.
Notes:
• Battery power is only for backup, and will not
operate the iPod.
• The alarm will not sound when the alarm clock radio
is disconnected from AC power and powered by the
backup battery only.
• To prevent losing your settings, keep the AC power
cord connected when replacing the batteries.
• To avoid injury, do not connect the adapter to a
ceiling outlet.
Setting the Clock Time

: The nap function is similar to the alarm

To deactivate the nap feature, repeatedly press

SLEEP
: You can set the unit to turn off
automatically during iPod, Aux or Radio play. Press
SLEEP
repeatedly to select a time period of 15,
30, 45, or 60 minutes. Or you can select
OFF
to deactivate the sleep feature. The unit turns off
automatically when the time is due.
Docking/Charging Your iPod
Insert the cradle that fits your iPod model, then plug in
your iPod. The table below shows cradle markings (on
the back of the cradle) and iPod models. When the iPod
is connected, it recharges except in the AM radio mode
and the unit will automatically change to iPod mode and
starts iPod playback. Use
