Sound Manager
The handset's Sound Manager manages ringtones and sounds which you can use as
ringtone melodies. It can manage the following sound types:
The icon is displayed in front of the name in the Sound Manager. A total of 3

and 17

are preset on you telephone. The preset sounds cannot be renamed or deleted.
You can download sounds in .psf format from a PC (page 139).
In Sound Manager you can listen to the existing sounds and rename and delete sounds
that you have downloaded onto your handset via SMS or data cable (max. 16 KB).
Playing back sounds
Whilst you are playing sounds, you can adjust the volume using the
§Volume§
display key.
If you have saved a sound in an invalid data format, you will see an error message after
selecting the entry. You can cancel the operation with

. The sound is deleted by
pressing
§Delete§
.
Renaming/deleting sounds
You have selected an entry. If a sound cannot be deleted (

), these options are not avail-
able.
Depending on the situation, you can select the following functions:
Rename
Select and press
§OK§
. Change name (max. 16 characters, do not use spaces or special
characters) and press
§OK§
. The entry is stored with the new name.
Delete Entry
The selected entry is deleted.
A deleted ringer melody is replaced automatically. A deleted ringer melody for
VIP calls or anniversaries is not replaced automatically.
