Making country-/location-specific basic settings, entering the
area code
If you use VoIP to make a call to the fixed line, you may also have to dial the area
code for local calls (depending on the provider). You can avoid having to dial your
own area code by:
u
Entering the complete area code (with international code) in the telephone con-
figuration for the location in which you are using the phone and
u
Defining per option that the local area code is automatically prefixed to every
number dialled that does not start with 0 (even for numbers from a list or the
directory).
These settings are on the Web page:

Saving and restoring system settings
Once you have configured your base and after each configuration change, you can
save the current base settings in a file on the PC (suffix .cfg).
If you change the settings accidentally or you need to reset the base due to a fault
(base reset), you can reload the saved settings from the file on your PC to your
phone.
The contents of the .cfg file include:
u
The settings for the local network (IP configuration)
u
The data for the (VoIP) connections established
u
The assignment of send and receive connections
u
Access code
u
The network mailbox number
u
The Internet services settings
u
The ECO DECT settings
You can save and restore the system settings via the Web page:

Resetting the base station and resetting all device settings
u
If your phone suddenly does not work as expected, you can restart it. This fre-
quently resolves problems.
u
You can also reset all of the settings on the phone to the default settings without
disconnecting it from the mains power supply, e.g., if you give your phone to a
third party or if you have forgotten your system PIN. All individual settings on
the base station are reset to the default settings, including the system PIN, and
all handsets registered beyond the delivery scope are deregistered.
If you have reset the base due to an error or forgotten system PIN, you can,
where applicable, reload settings (
