Register through a telephone or fax machine:
Lift the handset from its cradle.
Plug the 1000 TAE back into the power outlet (you
should hear a single tone).
Press key 7 (you should hear a single tone).
Enter the base station number, i.e. 1 (you should hear
a single tone)
Enter the 4 digit System Code of the base station.
Replace the handset in its cradle.
The connected telephone or fax machine will ring.
Pick up the handset. You will hear a beeping register
tone. (It is searching for the base station. This can
take a
few seconds
).
Wait
until either:
1.
a single tone is heard (to signal that the
registration is accepted).
2.
or
4 short tones are heard (to signal that the
base is not found, the system code is not
accepted, or there is not room for any more
devices in the base) .
Replace the handset in its cradle.
When the registration is successful, the internal number will
be assigned automatically by the base!
