VPN Pass Through
Virtual private networks (VPN)are secured private network connections, built on top of
publicly-accessible infrastructure, such as the Internet or the public telephone network.
VPNs typically employ some combination of encryption, digital certificates, strong user
authentication and access control to provide security to the traffic they carry. They usually
provide connectivity to many machines behind a gateway or firewall.

PPTP Pass Through setting
PPTP stands for Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol. It basically allows you to establish
a connection to a corporate network and you can share files and other data as if your
machine were actually on that local network.

IPSec Pass Through setting
IPSec stands for IP Security. It provides authentication and encryption over the
Internet. It functions at Layer 3 and thus secures everything on the network. It has
become a standard protocol used for virtual private networks (VPNs).
GN-B46B supports Internet-industry standards technology to provide customers with open
interoperable VPN solutions such as Internet Protocol Security (IPSec) and Layer 2
Tunneling Protocol (L2TP) as well as Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP).
