ΦM Int Menu

(see Figure 25)

The ΦM -Internal menu allows you to view and modify settings related to an
internal phase modulation mode in which the modulating signal is an
internally-generated sine, triangle, ramp, or square wave-form (the signal at the
FM/φM IN connector is not used).
Items in this submenu that can be modified are:

ΦM

This menu item enables or disables internally-generated phase modulation. ΦM

- Internal can only be activated or deactivated using the Step Up/Step Down
buttons.

Deviation

Determines how much the RF output deviates in phase when modulated

by the internal source.

Rate

The frequency of the internal modulating signal.

Waveform

This menu item allows you to view and choose the type of waveform

used as the internal modulating signal. The available selections are Sine, Triangle
(symmetrical triangle wave), Ramp (positive going ramp),
or Square (50 % duty cycle square wave).
