2 CONNECTING YOUR RFID ANTENNA
The 6-core wire for external connection has the following color in sequences: red, black, white,
green, yellow, and blue. The red and black wires are for power source. When the power source is
DC, the black wire is ground wire; when the power source is AC, there is no sequence for the red
and black wires.

Note: the GND wire of the BG245 must connect with the GND line of the Wiegand controller;
otherwise, the communication network cannot be established. White wire and Green wire are
welded together to enable the reader to read tag. Alternatevely the White and Green wire must be
connected to an external trigging device (i.e. loop detector IG315/325) according to the application.
2.1 ADJUSTING READING RANGE
The reading range is adjustable from 1 to 35 meters and depends on the types of tags. This can be
done by adjusting the potentiometer at the bottom of the antenna (refer to the picture). The max
achievable range (but not guaranteed) is the following:
Tag types:
BGCK-12
BGCK-70
Adjustable range
From 1 to 15 m
From 25 to 70 m
Note: the reading range is granted on the front part of the antenna using the BGCK-xx tag in a
perpendicular position on the respect of the transmission plan.
