1. ENGINE BLOCK - External operations
1.6. Checking the oil breather
1 - Remove the magneto flywhee
2 - Unscrew the two screws (2
) fixing the closing
plate ().
3 - Check that the reed (4) is not blocked or de-
formed. Replace if this is the case.
If necessary, wash the metal filter (
6) with water
and neutral detergents or blow it clean with com-
pressed air.

If necessary, replace the gasket (5) and
refit the closure plate (
), tightening the screws to
the torque indicated.
5 - Refit the magneto flywheel
1.7. Replacing the upper compression ring of the
engine shaft (flywheel side)
1 - Remove the magneto flywheel
2 - Take out the spline key (1).
3 - Use a thin screwdriver inserted under the sealing
lip to extract the oil seal ring (7).
4 - The new ring (8) must be inserted with the help
of a pipe (9) with a diameter of approximately
50-55 mm, taking care not to damage the sealing
lip.
5 - Refit the key (

) and the magneto flywheel
