7. Never operate the mower with defective guards or controls and only with grasscatcher connected or closed safe-
tyflap.
8. Stop the blade before removing the grasscatcher.
9. Start the engine carefully according to the instructions of the manufacturer.
10. Do not tilt the mower when starting the engine.
11. Never put your hands or feet underneath the cuttercover or inside the discharge chute and never turn the mower
on its side when the blade is rotating.
12. Check and repair the mower after hitting a foreign object.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE PRECAUTIONS
1.
To reduce fire hazard remove grass, leaves or excessive grease. Never use solvents or cleaning fluids.
2.
Check the mower and grass catcher thoroughly. Replace worn or defective parts.
3.
Any simple repairs carried out by the owner, must be performed with great care and with reference to the con-
ditions of guarantee.
4.
Replacement blades and other parts must be supplied by the manufacturer. Refer to the conditions of assem-
bly and guarantee.
5.
Store the mower in a dry and secure place, out of reach for children.
6.
Never store the mower with fuel in the tank inside a building where fumes may reach an open flame or spark.
Allow the engine to cool before storing in any enclosure. If the fuel tank has to be drained, this should be done
outdoors.
GENERAL ASSEMBLY
Identify all of the parts supplied in the package.
ASSEMBLY OF HANDLE AND THROTTLECONTROL
Familiarise yourself with the general design and qualify the diagrams for your model.
1.
First mount the lower part of the handle bar on the frame as shown in figure 2. Do not forget to tighten the bolts.
2.
Assemble the upper handle tube in accordance with fig. 3.
3.
Assemble the OPC cable (figure 5A-5B-5C). Hook the cable-end into the hole of the plastic engine brake lever.
Screw the conduit fitting by using the long screw to the handle bar and secure with a washer and a nut.
4.
Finally secure the cables to the handle tube by using the cable ties.
GRASS CATCHER ASSEMBLY
Familiarise yourself with the general design and qualify the diagrams for your model.
First mount the upper part asshown in figure 5.
The grass catcher in synthetic material will be mounted as shown in figure 6.
After assembly the grass catcher is to be mounted to the mower by lifting the safety guard and locating it to the pegs
or picklock.
ADJUSTING THE CUTTING HEIGHT
Individual wheel height adjustment. See figure 7.
CUTTING HEIGHT RECOMMENDATIONS:
First put the machine on a level surface.
Long grass:
Set the mower at its highest setting and advance machine slowly. Then cut the grass once again at a
lower setting.
Short grass:
Cut the grass using one of the lower settings. Never cut too short during summertime, otherwise the
grass will be damaged by sunburn.
Damp grass:
Never cut damp grass. It will tend to build up underneath the machine and could jam the motor.
