Recommended Safety Distances for Non-Life-Supporting
ME Systems
Recommended safety distance between portable and mobile RF communication devices
and the Spirostik Complete
The Spirostik Complete is determined for operation in an electromagnetic environment in which
the RF disturbances are controlled. The user / operator of the Spirostik Complete may help to
avoid electromagnetic interference by keeping the minimum distance between portable and
mobile RF telecommunication devices (transmitters) and the Spirostik Complete, depending on
the emitted power of the communication device as indicated below:

For transmitters whose maximum power rating is not given in the table above, the recommended
safety distance
d
in meters (m) can be determined using the equations given with each column,
where
P
is the maximum power rating of the transmitter in watts (W) as specified by the
manufacturer.
Note 1: The higher frequency range shall be used at 80 MHz and 800 MHz.
Note 2: These guidelines may not be applicable in all cases. The propagation of electromagnetic
parameters is influenced by absorptions and reflections from buildings, objects and people.
