You can keep multiple windows open at the same time. To minimize all the windows, click the
Show Desktop
button on the bottom-left corner of the desktop:

To power off, reboot or log out of the system, click the home icon
on the top-left corner of
the desktop and select from the drop-down list. Click the home icon again to close the list.
