Retainer and Float 

 
Remove the hitch clip from the clevis pin holding the check plug retainer. Use a pair of 
small pliers to pull the shortened cotter pin securing the lower control rod collar.  Remove 
the stop collar, springs, and floats. When the float has been removed, care must be taken 
to not bend the control rod or stress the control rod link.
