Remove the dust cap from one end of the patch cord. If your patch cord
has a connector with a short boot, make sure you remove the cap from
the end with the short boot.

Plug the patch cord into the connector.

3. Attach patch cord
Remove the green connector from the bracket.
Caution
: The following three steps must be completed in
quick succession. Failure to do so will cause a degradation
in optical signal quality.

Take the dust cap off the top end of the connector. This is the end with
the silver metal band as illustrated below.
