Monitor/Status

The terminal interface SC 553 Monitor/Status function supports the display of four categories of 
information:

• Alarm Status – available at all times

• EIA Status and Receive Level – available at all times

• TR54016 Current/Total Statistics – available only when the Network ESF Mode is configured for 
TR-54016

• TR54016 Interval Statistics – available only when the Network ESF Mode is configured for TR-
54016

• ANSI T1.403 Statistics – available only when the Network ESF Mode is configured for ANSI 
T1.403

When you select Monitor/Status from the Main Menu, the resulting screen, shown in 

Figure 3-18

, 

presents a menu with those five categories and a selection for resetting the TR54016 statistics.

Alarm Status Screen

The Alarm Status screen, shown in 

Figure 3-19

, presents current status information concerning 

alarm conditions. It displays the current status, 

INACTIVE 

or 

ACTIVE

, of the alarm conditions 

that the DSU can report. Definitions of the alarm conditions appear in Appendix C, Alarm 
Definitions .

When you are done viewing the screen, type 0 to return to the Monitor/Status menu.
