AT+CPSMS Enable or Disable Power Saving Mode

AT+CPSMS

controls settings of the UE's power saving mode (PSM) parameters. It controls whether the UE wants

to apply PSM or not, as well as the requested extended periodic TAU value in E-UTRAN and the requested

Active Time value.

Syntax

Parameter Description

Enable/disable the use of power saving mode (PSM) in the UE.
0

Disable the use of PSM

(D)

Enable the use of PSM

Disable the use of PSM and discard all parameters for PSM, or if available,

reset to the manufacturer specific default values

One byte in an 8 bit format.

Requested extended periodic TAU value to be allocated to the UE in E-UTRAN. The requested extended peri-

odic TAU value is coded as one byte (octet 3) of the GPRS Timer 3 information element coded as bit format

(e.g. "01000111" equals 70 hours). For more information on coding and value range, see 3GPP TS 24.008
