AT^SXRAT Selection of Radio Access Technology
The
command forces the selection of the Radio Access Technology (RAT) in the protocol stack. On
a later network registration (
) this setting is used.
The
write command allows to set the RAT and preferred RAT:
• When the ME is registered, setting only
=0 or 2 can be used to instantly change the RAT.
• When the ME is not registered and the SIM card is not locked,
=0 or 2 can be set prior to entering SIM
PIN1 in order to determine the RAT before registering.
• When
=1 is set and the
setting is changed then the newly selected preferred RAT will
be used first for the next registration attempt with
. The selected
setting is stored non-
volatile if
=1. However, depending on network capability, it is possible that the ME changes to the non-
preferred RAT if this more suitable.
In Airplane mode (
=4) the
read and test command can be used, but not the write command.
