Intended Purpose
Shuttle Valve Type X is used for the distribution of streams of liquid within a
section of a pipe.
Shuttle Valve Type W is used for change-over of streams of liquid within a
section of a pipe.
The shuttle valves X and W are pressure-keeping equipment (without safety
function) in the sense of the pressure equipment directive: Directive 97/23/EG.
They are classified according to Annex II, article 3, section 3. A special
declaration of conformity will be supplied in the event of any deviations.
The medium should preferably flow in the opening direction of the valve disk to
avoid pipe hammers when the valve is opened or closed.
