Always follow the fabric manufacturer’s care label when laundering.
Sorting and Loading Hints
As a general rule, if clothes are sorted properly for the washer, they are sorted properly for the dryer.
Do not add fabric softener sheets once the load has become warm. They may cause fabric softener stains.
Do not overload.
This wastes energy and causes wrinkling.
Do not dry the following items:
fiberglass items, woolens, rubber-coated items, plastics, items with plastic trim and
foam-filled items.
The Exterior:
Wipe or dust any spills or washing
compounds with a damp cloth. Dryer control panel
and finishes may be damaged by some laundry
pretreatment soil and stain remover products. Apply
these products away from the dryer. The fabric may
then be washed and dried normally. Damage to your
dryer caused by these products is not covered by your
warranty.
The Lint Filter:
Clean the lint filter before each use.
The Exhaust Duct:
If your dryer is exhausted to the
outside, inspect and clean the dryer exhaust ducting
at least once a year.
The Exhaust Hood:
If your dryer is exhausted to the
outside, check the hood with a mirror to make sure
the inside flaps of the hood move freely when
operating. Make sure that there is not wildlife (birds,
insect, etc.) nesting inside the duct or hood.
If your dryer is not exhausted outside:
Gas dryers MUST
be exhausted outside.
Electrical Shock and Personal Injury Hazard
A clothes dryer produces combustible lint. When the
dryer is not exhausted to the outside, this lint is likely
to accumulate in and near the dryer. This could
create a FIRE HAZARD. The lint should be removed
at least every 2 or 3 years, or more often, depending
on dryer usage.
Lint Removal

Unplug the power supply cord or turn off the electrical
power.

Do not put hands inside the cabinet.
■
Make sure the dryer is cool.
■
More than one person is required to lift, tilt or move the
dryer because of its weight and size.
Failure to do so could result in electrical shock, injury or
damage.
Cleaning should be done only be a qualified person.
Unplug unit from electrical supply of turn off
electrical power.

Avoid touching wires and thermostats.
Remove lint from boxed-in area with a soft brush
or vacuum cleaner.
