When­connecting­to­a­four-conductor­branch­circuit,­if­local­codes­permit:
1.­­

Connect­the­bare­oven­ground­con­duc­tor­with­the­
crimped­neutral­(white)­lead­to­the­branch­circuit­
neutral­(white­or­gray­in­color),­using­wire­nuts.
2.­­
­
Connect­the­oven­red­lead­to­the­branch­circuit­red­
lead,­and­the­oven­black­lead­to­the­branch­circuit­
black­lead­in­accordance­with­local­codes,­using­
wire­nuts.­
3.­­
­
Install­proper­strain­relief­clamp.
4.­­
­
Install­junction­box­cover.
1.­­
­
Cut­the­neutral­(white)­lead­from­the­clamp.­Re-strip­
the­neutral­(white)­lead­to­expose­the­proper­length­
of­conductor.
2.­­
­
Attach­the­appliance­grounding­lead­(green­or­bare­
copper)­in­accordance­with­local­codes.­
3.­­
­
Connect­the­oven­neutral­(white)­lead­to­the­branch­
circuit­neutral­(white­or­gray)­in­accordance­with­
local­codes,­using­a­wire­nut.
4.­­
­
Connect­the­oven­red­lead­to­the­branch­circuit­red­
lead­and­the­oven­black­lead­to­the­branch­circuit­
black­lead­in­ac­cor­dance­with­local­codes,­using­
wire­nuts.­
5.­­

Install­proper­strain­relief­clamp.

Install­junction­box­cover.
