9. Remove the disk.
10. Label the disk and store in a safe place.
Delete Exams, Series, or Images
Exams, series, and images may be deleted from the local database from the Image Management screen.
Follow this process to delete exams, series, and images.
1. Select the
Local
source, if necessary.
Note:
Items cannot be deleted from a CD, DVD, or network locations.
2. Unlock exams, if necessary.
Refer to
Lock Exams from Deletion (p. 12-11)
for more information.
3. Select the items to delete.
The items may be exams, series with an exam, or images within a series. Multiple items may be
selected and deleted at once.
4. Click [DELETE].
A message appears: “Are you sure that you would like to delete the selected items?”
5. Click [OK].
The message closes.
The items are deleted from the Image Management screen.
[CANCEL] closes the message and the items remain on the Image Management screen.
Lock Exams from Deletion
The Image Management screen allows you to prevent, or “lock”, exams from being deleted. The exam
can only be deleted if the lock is removed, or “unlocked.” The lock prevents exams from being deleted by
other operators and from Auto Delete. Refer to
Chapter 15: Preferences-Image Management (1)
for more
information about Auto Delete.
Locked exams can still be copied, transferred, and viewed.
Only exams can be locked. Individual series or images cannot be locked.
Follow this process to lock and unlock exams.
1. Select the exams to lock.
Multiple exams may be selected and locked at once.
2. Click [LOCK].
The lock icon appears in the status column of all selected exams.
