System settings
The Shutdown dwell time field ( Figure 41 ) sets the length of time that the recorder will
continue to operate and record after the ignition or engine run signals are removed.
This setting only applies to recorders with the shutdown dwell feature enabled. Setting the
value to 0 deactivates the feature. For the setting shown, the DVR will continue recording
for 10 seconds after the
ignition or engine run signals are removed.

Camera settings
When you enter the number of cameras into the system that are physically attached to a
recorder through the
Number of cameras installed field ( Figure 42 ), the recording system
will periodically check to ensure that pictures are being received and recorded for all
expected cameras.
