drain port of the System for proper draining.

Note: All outlets downstream of the System will provide

filtered water. A dedicated line, diverted from the main

water line, is recommended to be installed upstream of the

System for all exterior taps, pool or hot tub makeup valves,

and irrigation systems. This set-up will help prolong the life

of the System membrane.

If this installation requires the System to be installed hori-

zontally, complete the steps described in this section. If the

System is to be installed in a vertical orientation, go to the

System installation

section.

The Horizontal Mounting Kit is purchased separately and can

only be installed with UFC 207, UF 207, UFC 209, UF 209, UFC

211, and UF 211 models. The Horizontal Mounting Kit must

be used in the installation of Horizontally-mounted Systems.

UFC 100, UF 100, and UF 100 with optional Surface

Water Option Kit models cannot be installed horizontally.
