ROTECTION
Press the SCRAMBLE button on the handset to protect your conversation
from eavesdropping by your neighbor's baby monitors, cordless tele-
phones and other devices that operate at the same frequency.
NOTE:
This model uses a type of scrambling technology called “frequency
inversion” where voice transmissions are altered to be imperceptible to outside
parties. You may notice a slight degradation in sound quality when the
SCRAMBLE feature is activated. Therefore, only add security and privacy to
your phone as needed for example; relating a social security number, giving
out a credit card number, scheduling times or absences from home.

CAUTION:
Because cordless phones operate on electricity, you should have at
least one phone in your home that isn’t cordless, in case the power in your
home goes out.
