If the transformer and monitoring product (mounted to the transformer using the GE
Direct Mount Cradle) are to be transported in situ, then the following steps must be taken:
Power down the product as outlined in the MINITRANS User Guide or as outlined
in Section M.2.1.
Fit the exterior and interior transit locks in accordance with the steps outlined in
Section M.2.2 and M.2.3.
Note: Once the transformer has been relocated and secured at its new location both sets of locks must
be removed prior to resuming the product’s power as outlined in Section M.3.1 and M.3.2.
M.2.1
MINITRANS power down procedure
Observe the operating mode on the LCD. Ensure that the product has finished its last
measurement and is in Standby mode before proceeding. If the product is in Standby
mode, perform the following steps:
Open the door of the product and turn the power switch to the Off position
(located bottom right of the product) and as shown in Figure M—4.
The external switch or circuit breaker shall be turned to the ‘Off’ position.
The oil valves at the transformer to the input and output of the product shall be
turned to the ‘Off’ position.

M.2.2
Attach the exterior isolator locks
The following tools and fittings as listed in Table M—1 and as shown in Figure M—5 are
required in order to attach the brackets to the product. The following section outlines the
procedure for attaching the exterior isolator locks to the right hand side of the product.
This must also be repeated for the left hand side of the product.
